Author about the Mobile Phone Photography Project (2022): “I was ill for almost 3 years, and just after making a decision, I am leaving design and photography (my current job) because of problems with my eyes. Leaving all I was doing almost whole my life wasn’t really painful because I was bored anyway, but it became really painful when I lost all the abilities I developed through years of work and fun. From that day until now, I have fought to come back to full health, trying all that can help.

All of this ruined me financially and locked me into a struggle with financial problems; I sold almost all I had. After a few years of break and fighting, trying to come back to what I was doing earlier, I had to first get back the stuff I needed to do the job, and it wasn’t easy. I didn’t manage to earn money for the professional camera so far, and as always, I thought the world was just trying to tell me something.

Through all those years, I treated mobile phone photography as something worst and not serious. Taking hundreds of pictures and leaving them without attention. I knew they were cropped properly, but… not good enough for print, hard to process (no raw file), you cannot do almost anything while taking pictures from what a professional camera offers to a photographer, and so on…

And yes… we have 2022 – I am left with a mobile phone, problems with money, health, and a job. And it is like hearing a whisper from the world: And what will you do now? So let’s check how good it can be.”
